Making  presentation on the topic ‘early pregnancy, the enemy of teenage girls, president of the network, Musa Pious Sesay Junior said  lack of proper education, peer group influence, unhealthy culture, poverty among others are the factors responsible for teenage pregnancy. He therefore stated that to prevent teenage pregnancies; teenagers have to focus on their future.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Eastern Police Division attached to the Family Support Unit Ibrahim Barrie applauded the effort of the network in sensitizing young girls against sexual related issues. ASP Barrie encouraged young girls to report cases related to sexual violations.
Representatives from Marie Stopes-Sierra Leone who happened to be the Country Director Ufuoma Omo –Obi made a general plea to young girls as she encouraged them to use contraceptives if they could not abstain from sex totally.
NPYSL Vice President, Hawanatu Kanu said consequences of teenage pregnancy affects girls mostly, therefore, she called on them to be wise, as most of the participating girls   promised to do their best in adhering to the advices they received.
