Giving a background of the training, the Director of Financial Sector Management at WAIFEM, Ousman Sowe said the training is born out of the desire to enhance effective communication skills for staff of NRA on reports writing skills and presentation techniques. He said WAIFEM noticed that staff in working institution normally fall short of presenting good and efficient report, adding NRA as an institution that has the mandate to mobilize revenue, need these skills to not only write good report but also to be able to communicate to the people they are dealing with, particularly the tax payers.
Ousman Sowe stated that at the end of the training it is expected that staff of NRA that are involve in the course would able to effectively enhance their competencies in report writing skills and report presentation techniques.
Speaking on behalf of NRA, the Corporate Affairs Manager, Mohamed Bangura described the training as a laudable venture, and thanked WAIFEM for organizing the training in ensuring that members of the NRA understand fully the details of writing skills and other presentation techniques, adding that the training will go a long way in making sure that staff of NRA understand the dynamics that are involved in report writing and also create space in promoting good governance and revenue emancipation.
Mohamed Bangura emphasized that the training is very much significance because it came at a time when NRA poised to meet its revenue target and at the same time gives management and staff an opportunity to be able to give report adequately for an internal stakeholders and external stakeholders report. He said it is their expectation that the training will continue to shape their minds and give them understanding that would not only benefit them as an institution but the nation as whole.
