Nyame Adom, Chief Executive Officer, Abigail George submitted that her organization had been supporting education in Sierra Leone, for fourteen years ongoing.
The CEO advised the numerous beneficial parent to continue to encourage their children, and stressed that parent should encouraged and monitor the academic performances of their students.
“These children are the leaders of tomorrow; eventually our time will fade out. If we educate them well, definitely we will enjoy brighter future and enabling environment that will foster, a world fit for children and for everyone” the CEO ascertained.
Abigail uttered that her dream was to see the first girl child being a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University, through her progressive scholarship. She expressed that the scholarship will last for one year and it will continue based on the progressive stance of any awardees, the scholarship beneficiaries are expected to submit their progress report cards, in order to rejuvenate the scholarship annually.
Amongst the beneficiaries were children from the blind school, school for the deaf and dumb and other related disabilities children, and also able kids that are doing extremely well in the field of academia, were also considered in the scholarship scheme.
The acting Ghana High Commissioner in Sierra Leone commended and described the work of Abigail as an enabling mother working assiduously to educate children’s in Africa. She further stated that Abigail relationship foster peaceful diplomatic ties between her country and Sierra Leone.
