According to Wallace Johnson the office of the Ombudsman is set up to look at things that affect government workers, noting that if they are illegally dismissed from their jobs without the Public Service Act they are responsible to fight for their reinstatement.
“We have offices all across the country and we have been struggling for finance in the same vein as some other institution and offices,” Wallace Johnson said, adding that whenever they ask government for funds to embark on projects, the government will not be in a position to give them the money.
He added that they are now trying to embark on mass publicity to educate the people about what the Office of the Ombudsman stands for, noting that some people are unaware that they can take their bosses to the Ombudsman when they feel abused or aggrieved, rather than going to the law court because it is precisely for such cases this that the Office of the Ombudsman was created.
