On his statement relating on the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Research Unit, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy Country, Coordinator   Mr. Mohamed Jalloh, highlighted the importance of the Research Unit in Parliament and the objectives of the dialogue forum., Mr jalloh ,said the purpose of the forum is to established a network to access expertise and evidence on topics of high priority to parliament to improve legislative oversight and representation and also connect research unit to research bodies think tanks, MDAs ,academia ,CSOs, for mutual beneficial relationship.
Mr. Gilbert Bosco Nhabay, Parliamentary Research Coordinator, highlighted the role of the research unit in parliament and called on other research unit to collaborate in order to have an effective research sharing process. He commended the various stockholders who attended the dialogue interactive forum and promised to work with them in other archive a proper research data base for parliament.
