Police Remanded at Pademba Prison

Following the murder of deceased Ibrahim Kamara, the accused person who is thirty one years old disappeared into thin air, before he was later arrested on 29th June 2018.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ibrahim S. Mansaray and the accused person was represented by Barrister J.M. Jengo.

Magistrate Santigie Bangura ordered that the accused person be remanded at the maximum state detention centre and adjourned the matter to Tuesday 24 July 2018.

In another development accused person Ibrahim Kamara of 19A Bass Street, Upper Dan Street, Safea Ansumana, John Koroma and Mohamed Kamara have been relocated to the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road in Freetown by Santigie Bangura presiding over the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1 on Siaka Stevens Street in the central part of Freetown.

The three accused persons are charged with the offences of Conspiracy and Larceny, which violate Section (2) of the Larceny Act of 1916 of the laws of Sierra Leone.

It is alleged that the three accused persons on Tuesday 10th July 2018 at Aggreko Compound at Wellington in Freetown conspired with unknown individuals to commit a felony to wit: Larceny.

Police further alleged that all the accused persons on the aforementioned date stole thirty yards of black electric cables valued at four thousand United States Dollars, equivalent to twenty eight million, eight hundred thousand Leones.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Ibrahim S. Mansaray and the accused persons were defended by Lawyer J.M. Jengo. The matter comes up again on Tuesday 24th July 2018.
