President Bio Launches School Feeding Program

The ceremony was graced by thousand of school going pupils, teachers, traditional leaders, local authorities, ministers of government, senior government officials, United State Ambassador to Sierra Leone Maria Brewer, CRS Country Representative and hosts of other dignitaries.

The Government of Sierra Leone has set on course the School Feeding Programme as a major component of the complete package of the Free Quality Education initiative of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

With support from international partners, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Lawyer Alpha Osman Timbo, said the strategy was not only to motivate children to take advantage of the Free Quality Education but was to also attain a high retention rate in schools and maximise learning outcomes.
