He informed this medium that project Justice was presently engaged in providing clean and safe drinking water to inmates at the Ross Road police cell, Ross Road law court cell, Pademba Road law court cell, Siaka Steven street law court cell and inmates at the Criminal Investigation Department under investigation in Freetown.
According to Pastor Henarie Fortune Josiah, the entire project was specifically designed towards addressing human rights issues and further to mitigate the sufferings of inmates in state detention centers.
He maintained that his institution was also providing linkage between relatives, parents and families of inmates, stating that the project would be extended to other part of the country, when funds were available, as he institution was a newly establish entity, that was poised to addressing several burning issues affecting the lives of inmates at state detention centers, not only in Freetown, but also in part of the country.
Presently, he said the project was been funded by two church ministries in Kumasi, Ghana and Liberia, and added that his project would also be looking into keen issues bothering on human rights of especially children and young people, who were mostly vulnerable to various forms of human right violations , consonance with the Geneva Convention and the international protocols of people’s rights to be respected, irrespective of their tribe, race, region religion or political belonging.
