As the Chiefdom Youth Farms in Pujehun district set to harvest 1400 acres of rice farm, youth in Vaama village, Kpanga Krim chiefdom assures government of its investment by giving back a bumper harvest and promising to produce more rice next season.
Paramount Chief Samuel Saffa Ansumana Gbonda II of Kpanga Krim chiefdom assures President Julius Maada Bio that he will wholeheartedly support such projects geared towards food security and youth employment in the country.
The Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs thanked and appreciated the Paramount Chief for his efforts in ensuring such a project succeeds.
One of the female youth farmers expressed delight over the harvest, “we will no longer quarrel with our husbands because there is food on the table and the price of rice has dropped. This brings happiness and hope to us”….she said.
