Speaking in an exclusive interview with AYV inside the House of Parliament on Monday night, the Minister of Information and Communication, Mohamed Rado Swarray stated that the issue about President Julius Maada Bio setting up commissions of inquiry is not a new phenomenon.
He said that the commissions of inquiry are being set up to ensure that even members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) that are now in governance are not exempt from being probed by any commission of inquiry even after they would no longer be ministers or active in government service.
According to Minister Mohamed Rado Swarray, members of the past APC government must not be scared or feel threatened about the setting up of the commissions of inquiry if their stewardship is something to write home about.
He added that he is quite sure and aware that even he and his colleague SLPP members that are in positions of trust would also one day yield to a commission of inquiry probe, “just to set the records straight.”
