Ten witnesses testified during the trial process and the evidence adduced was overwhelming against both convicts, and they have been relocated at the maximum state detention centre on Pademba Road in Freetown.
A twelve man panel of jurors that assisted the court to determine the matter, found both convicts guilty of the offence of Conspiracy and murder, contrary to offences against person’s act of 1861 of the laws of Sierra Leone, consonance with the judgment delivered by the presiding Judge, Justice Monfred Sesay.
Both convicts have the constitutional rights to appeal against the verdict of the court.
The state was represented by J.A.K. Sesay and one of the convicts, Solomon Gbondi was represented by lawyer H.M. Gavao.
