He made this disclosure while updating the press about the activities of the mission at the Mission Headquarters in Mogadishu, Somalia.
According to Ambassador Maderia, the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping troop has the right equipment to do their job. He stated further that they normally escort their UN colleagues, and leadership of the country to go about their daily activities.
“Apart from that they train the forces and we have trained around 600 troops and they do maintenance as well,” Ambassador Maderia said, adding that they are happy with them.
