The team is presently camped at the Siaka Steven Stadium Hostels awaiting the commencement of the competition.
According to Volleyball Referee Mohamed Benson Bawoh, this is the first time Sierra Leone would be hosting such a big competition were over 10 Africa teams will be participating. He furthered described the beach volleyball as a unique sport.
“We have pool of players and we are confident that we would be crowned champions at the end of the tournament.” Bawoh assured.
Head Coach of Sierra Leone Beach Volley, Sorie Kamara said they are stronger when it comes to Beach Volley Ball. He affirmed that they are not strangers to such competitions so they are familiar with most of the teams that would be participating in the tournament.
