Sierra Leone Cricket Association Elect New Executives

The former Chief Executive Officer in charge of management at the Sierra Leone Cricket Association Francis Trevor Samura has been elected as Chairman of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association Board of Directors for a five years mandate following his landslide victory securing eight four (84) votes out of ninety one (91) votes casted at the Sierra Leone Cricket Association Elective Congress held on Saturday June 26th 2021.

The landslide victory is described as a result of his relentless service during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer in charge of the day to day operations of Cricket and head of management including but not limited to organising coaching clinics, effective running of the various Sierra Leone Cricket Association leagues including the Sierra Leone Men’s Elite Cricket Franchise League to boost the preparation of the athletes ahead of the international competitions, as well as the welfare of the athletes and the staff at the secretariat despite the effect of the Corona Virus pandemic.

However the newly elected Chairman Board of Directors Sierra Leone Cricket Association Francis Trevor Samura highlighted five key priorities for the association including infrastructure development and capacity building. ‘My new plans will be focusing on five key strategic priorities; increase participation, commercial success, infrastructure development, administration and capacity building’ he stated.

The new executive of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association is as follow:

Francis Trevor Samura – Chairman

Martin Michael – Vice Chairman

Gabriel Anthony – Technical Director

Emmanuel  Pessima – Director of Development

Elizabeth B. French Director of Women’s Cricket.
