All People’s Congress (APC) Flagbearer, Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara and his runningmate Honourable Chernor Maju Bah have assured the National Team (Leone Stars) at their training session at the Murray Town playground that the people of Sierra Leone are fully behind them in their efforts to qualify for the African Cup of Nations for the fourth time.
The APC leaders had a brief discussion with players and the technical team while observing them practice.
Leone Stars’ Head Coach, John Keister announced his official 25-man squad on March 14, 2023, ahead of the double legged match against Sao Tomé and Principe.
The scheduled home-and-away matches will play on 22nd and 26th March 2023 respectively in Agadir, Morocco.
In another development, Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara over the weekend departed Sierra Leone with a delegation of APC stalwarts for United States of America.
The Party in an official press statement said: “Dr Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara will be meeting and holding strategic engagements with Sierra Leoneans in the United States on his vision for a peaceful and prosperous nation”.
The APC presidential candidate according to the press statement, is expected to return to Sierra Leone by the end of this week.
