This is the first gold championship for Sierra Leone men’s team in ICC- Africa cricket and the first gold championship for any Sierra Leone national men’s cricket team since 2005. However, the captain Lansana Lamin, scored 177 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 over’s and 42 runs, followed by Mohamed khan 40 runs, which means Mohamed khan picked up 3 wickets and captain Lansana Lamin’s picket up 2 wickets. Sierra Leone men team’s won by 80 runs and they are the champions of the ICC world cricket division 2 tournament in Africa 2016. Sierra Leone will now join the ICC Division 1, which comprises Namibia, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana and Tanzania.
