SLIRAN dialogues on tailored AIDS messages

However, the draft copy of these messages was on Tuesday tabled for validation at the National Aids Secretariat (NAS), Brookfields.
The Secretariat Director General, Alhaji Momodu Sesay said he was amazed by work done so far on the drafted copy. “We are moving in the right direction, trying to provide the relevant information, according to our relevant religious books,” to help in the fight against Aids, he explained.
He emphasized that the percentage of those infected by HIV/AIDS in Sierra Leone has be stagnated at 1.5% for a while now, revealing that the Secretariat and partners are working together assiduously to cut down the percentage nationwide.
The documents deliberated on examined key thematic areas from religious perspectives.
The areas examined at the validation meet were prevention and control, stigma and discrimination, care and support, counselling and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
