SLPP Cries For Unity

Speaking at the press conference, a senior member of the party, Degauleh Juana pointed out that the party has been organizing peace talks between aggrieved individual for two years which has impede on the progress of the party ahead of the 2016 and 2018 election. He said this has resulted in many supporters calling for an all inclusive dialogue conference to be organized by the party’s national electoral commission ahead of their meeting stipulated for the 7 and 8th of august this year.

Dr Bishop Joseph Humper, Chairman of the Technical and Facilitation Team said that during their consultative meetings with party members across the country, it was evident that supporters of the party were convinced that the SLPP is fragmented and polarized among camps driven by what he refeered to as ‘campism’ and individualism. This, according to him, may have led party supporters to question their readiness and capability in providing a formidable challenge in the next election. Hence the need for strategic messages to aggrieved parties.

On his part, the Young Generation Leader, Musa Peter Moijuah said the need for a family meeting is important as it would help the to be more determined and committed, adding that the hope and aspirations of party members also be will secured.
