As part of its continuous effort to provide credible data for national development, Statistics Sierra Leone has commenced training for supervisors and enumerators on the first ever Informal Cross Border Trade (ICBT) survey.
The traning which is now ongoing at the New Sella Spot, King Harman Road, in Freetown, will last for five days (from 4th March to 8th March 2024).
The week-long training aims at enriching participants with knowledge on the ICBT survey data collection methodology and best practices.
The ICBT survey is geared towards gathering data on informal trade transactions between residents and non-residents across the economic boundaries of Sierra Leone (Kambia, Karene, Falaba, Koinadugu, Kono, Kailahun, Kenema and Pujehun border districts) that are not recorded by customs authorities.
