The donation was as a result of the request made from religious leaders (Imams) from various mosques at the aforementioned community.
Charliesco Group CEO, Charlie Williams said that giving back to the community was something that he always willing to do. He confessed that the community made him what he is today. Charlie Williams said the gesture should serve as an example for the upcoming generation, in order for them to understand the necessity to give back to society.
“I started selling fuel as ‘jebu’ boy and then I move on as a mini boss ‘podapoda’ apprentice, before I became a drive. At that stage, I decided to further my education, all I want to say to youth of today is for them to understand that no matter what you are doing – just continue to work hard and stay focus, with that you will surely make it” Charlie Williams mentioned.
A beneficiary Hassan Kargbo refereed to the donation as timely and that they were given exactly what they requested. He confirmed that Charlie Williams has been dedicated in supporting the Kissy community.
John Fullah applauded the gesture and pointed out that their mosque has been empowered with PA system for the first time since its construction. He publicly promised to utilize the donated items for the purpose it meant for.
