UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana has commended Sierra Leone’s commitment to gender and children’s affairs.
Madam Wakana meet with Isata Mahoi, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs and the meeting discussed Mahoi’s work, her priorities, and the support extended by the United Nations to further the country’s efforts in addressing issues related to gender and children, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the meeting, Isata Mahoi provided a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing initiatives and projects implemented by the Ministry of Gender & Children’s Affairs.
This included updates on policies, programs, and strategies aimed at promoting gender equality and improving the well-being of children in Sierra Leone. Mahoi highlighted the importance of international collaboration and expressed gratitude for the support received from the United Nations Sierra Leone.
