Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Monday 9th October, 2023 officially commissioned the newly constructed Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess at Wilberforce Barracks in Freetown.
Speaking at the programme, the Hon. Vice President said that this is a testimony of the commitment of President Bio to the transformation of the RSLAF (Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces). “Since President Bio took over in 2018 there has been progressive improvement in the welfare of officers including salary increases of 75% spanning three years and investment in the productive capacity of the RSLAF.
The VP further disclosed that the government will support the construction of the road networks within the Juba, Murray Town and Wilberforce barracks.
The RSLAF leadership used the occasion to thank President Julius Maada Bio for his dedicated support to the RSLAF over the years and reiterated their commitment to the peace and defense of the country.
