A non-governmental organisation, Water is Life has donated fifty thousand liters of pure water to five communities in the Calaba Town community, east of Freetown.
Water constrain in that part of the country has been a major challenge for many community residents.
Community in that part of the country have for decades now faced with the challenge of accessing pure water for drinking and other community consumptions.
The crisis has allegedly led to many problems such as teenage pregnancies, violence and many more, amongst young people.
Residents claimed that they have only accessing pure water from slum communities along the sea side.
Programme Manager of Water is Life Organisation, Usif Mansaray said the donation benefited Jalloh drive, Long Bench, Jabbie drive, Poyo drive, Bangura Street and Raymond Street.
He said the purpose of the gesture is to help deprive communities access safe and clean water.
