Senior Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Public Assets, Prince Cole said the ministry has been receiving complaints from ministers, staff and the public on the current state of Youyi Building especially in the area of security and sanitation.

He said the ministry would continue to engage them so as to encourage them to live up to their responsibilities.

Officer-in-Charge of Security at Youyi Building, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abraham Lawson, reported about the unavailability of security light around the ministerial building and its environs.

He stated that the canteen at Youyi Building operates during odd hours, which automatically draws the attention of many unauthorized individuals to enter the premises at night.

Senior management staff of the ministry called for the review of both the contract of the security and cleaning agency respectively to ensure effective service delivery.
