The President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema has commended the Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission to Zambia, Ernest Bai Koroma and team for the crucial role they played during and after Zambia’s general elections.
According to President Hichilema, he held a meeting with the Koroma and commended him and his team for the crucial role they played during and after elections, especially in managing a smooth and peaceful transition of power in our country.
He said Koroma and his team submitted to them the final report on the just ended elections in Zambia. President Hichilema added saying: “Once we have read the contents, we will implement the necessary recommendations to further strengthen our electoral system and processes for the sake of strengthening our Democracy”.
